Expanding Our Expertise in Geotechnical and Material Testing
With the launch of our new laboratory, Nichols will provide one-stop civil and geotechnical engineering and material testing service capabilities to support our clients’ needs. The lab has certification with the Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCIL) as a Type Q facility for concrete testing and can complete soil testing for standard Proctor, sieve, hydrometer, and unconfined compressive strength as well as offer field compaction testing using state-of-the-art portable gauges to support earthworks construction. Nichols has also obtained our Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) license to carry, store, and use portable nuclear gauges for compaction testing. This certification underlines our commitment to providing the highest quality in material testing and engineering services.
